Hardcoded "CUR_OUT" parameter in OdpNet

Hi everybody,

I started using the OdpNet block a couple of days ago and I'm wondering why can we customize the name of the output parameter in this provider, what about an extra config section to specify the new name or even name pattern?

This could be easier in scenarios where you can make changes to an existing database.

Hi eulesv,

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the delay. Actually, you can provide your own custom cursor parameter. If you don't do so and the command requires a cursor parameter, a default cursor parameter named "CUR_OUT" will be automatically added to the command. EntLib Oracle Data Provider works the same way.

Regarding defining command parameters in the config, feel free to create a new work item in the Issue Tracker. That way people will be able to vote for it and it will be easier to track.

Cheers,

Jeremi

Hi Jeremi,

My point was, why the default parameter name is hard coded? it would be a lot simpler if I could specify it through a configuration file.

Thanks!
