IBM DB2 Data Provider

This version of the Enterprise Library DB2 Data Provider was tested against the DB2 Express-C Database v9.7
and uses the DB2 .NET data provider included in the download.

The DB2 database, client tools, .NET data provider and Visual Studio add-ins can all be downloaded from
http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/db2/express/download.html and are licence free. Note: the Visual Studio
add-ins are in a separate download file.

The following is an example of a configuration file using an IBM DB2 Data Provider:

[XML]
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<configuration>
	<configSections>
		<section name="dataConfiguration" type="Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data.Configuration.DatabaseSettings, Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data, Version=4.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" />
	</configSections>
	<dataConfiguration defaultDatabase="Service_Dflt">
		<providerMappings>
			<add databaseType="EntLibContrib.Data.DB2.DB2Database, EntLibContrib.Data.DB2, Version=4.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null" name="IBM.Data.DB2" />
		</providerMappings>
	</dataConfiguration>
	<connectionStrings>
		<add	name="Service_Dflt"
			providerName="IBM.Data.DB2"
			connectionString="database=Northwnd;" />
		<add	name="NewDatabase"
			providerName="IBM.Data.DB2"
			connectionString="database=Northwnd;"/>
		<add	name="DbWithDB2Authn"
			providerName="IBM.Data.DB2"
			connectionString="database=Northwnd;uid=entlib;pwd=********"/>
		<add	name="NwindPersistFalse"
			providerName="IBM.Data.DB2"
			connectionString="database=Northwnd;uid=entlib;pwd=********;Persist Security Info=false"/>
	</connectionStrings>
</configuration>
