Managed ODP.NET Support (Oracle.ManagedDataAccess)

description

It appears that Oracle now has a Managed Library for Oracle. Can we get a EntLib wrapper added for it. This is different than the normal ODP.NET driver as it also uses a different namespace.

Note: Oracle lists this as beta

Just a note. I took the odp.net source from the repo. Changed all of the references from Oracle.DataAccess to Oracle.ManagedDataAccess and so far it seems to be working. So I think this should work with minimal changes.

jtrahan,

Were you able to make those changes(from Oracle.DataAccess to Oracle.ManagedDataAccess) and compile them into a DLL for use in other projects?
What steps do we need to follow? I have downloaded the source code.

Thanks.

Any updates for Enterprise Library 6.0 and ODP.NET Managed Driver ?

Maybe using the ODP.NET Managed Driver (if you are using .Net 4): https://www.nuget.org/packages/odp.net.managed/

Oracle ODP.net Managed vs Unmanaged Driver. Avoid all the "unmanaged" what DLL what architecture issues!
